Simon's Asthma

When Simon was born he spent his first week in a special baby care unit and for two years he was under the care of specialists at the hospital. He showed no ill effects from his start in life but at an early age showed signs of asthma which is in the family on the Aspland side. He seemed to suffer more as he got older and had two bouts in hospital when it got the better of him. His last visit was in December 2010 when he went in on Boxing day and spent a few days recovering from a very weak peak flow reading. I think it frightened him when it was bad and he was always quick to use an inhaler. His mum got a nebuliser from the chemist where she worked which helped with the delivery of drugs. I think he was very grateful for the help he received with this awful condition and would approve of money being raised in his memory.
