Story

On May 12th 2012 Will took part in a 100km challenge walking from London to Brighton with 3 other members of the team. Known as Team BlueJacker. Will and Mark Buckham completed the walk in 25 and 26 hours. The other two dropped out at 65km due to injury. Collectively the boys had to raise £1500.00. We have smashed that target and have reached £2222.00. Anymore donations would be greatly received. Thank you to all those who sponsored Team BlueJacker.

Why did they do it?

10th August 2012
After Simon was tragically killed on October 2nd 2011, Simon's brother-in-law William Mitchell felt helpless at seeing his wife and family devastated by this sudden loss. So he decided all he could do was something to raise money for the charity that had been chosen in Simon's memory. After browsing their website he stumbled upon the London2Brighton Challenge. Walking non-stop for 100km from Richmond Park to Brighton Racecourse. He decided to do this as a team and chose his brother George, his Sisters boyfriend Ben and a good friend Mark. They undertook training over a very short time - 10 weeks!!! And again in memory of Simon chose to call the the team Team BlueJacker. Fundraising started and they had to raise between them £1500,00. We managed to reach and blow that target before they set off on the 12th May. Thanks to four mad men and lots of lovely people we have now raised £2222.00 in memory of my Brother. Thank You.
